Downtown Stratford is pleased to welcome Well Within Dental Hygiene Clinic, a new business dedicated to helping clients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their smiles.
Keenan Harrup, a registered dental hygienist with nearly two decades of experience, has recently opened her new clinic in the heart of downtown on Wellington St.
A graduate of Southern Ontario Dental College in 2008, Keenan has built a strong reputation in the dental field, most recently spending the past 12 years working at Avon Dental. Now, she is taking the exciting step of branching out on her own to offer a more personalized dental hygiene experience.
At the heart of Keenan’s practice is quality over quantity. She intentionally limits appointments to just six patients per day, allowing ample time to focus on each individual’s needs and provide exceptional customer service.
“My goal is to create a calm, stress-free environment where people feel at ease,” says Keenan. “Many people experience anxiety around dental visits, so I wanted to remove some of those usual stressors.”
Clients can expect a soothing atmosphere complete with low-volume music and a welcoming spa-like space designed to help them relax.
Keenan also brings a unique philosophy to her work through a holistic approach to oral health. She offers fluoride-free options, including toothpaste products available for purchase, and aims to introduce clients to alternative choices in dental hygiene that align with their personal wellness goals. She also uses purified water in her clinic.
Services currently available include comprehensive dental hygiene exams, scaling, root planing, stain removal, whitening, oral cancer screenings, denture cleanings, and even tooth gems for those looking to add a little sparkle to their smile.
In addition to dental hygiene, Keenan has over 12 years of experience in aesthetics, specializing in eyelash extensions. She has now moved that side of her business from her home into the new clinic. In order to properly provide a one-stop destination for both wellness and beauty services, she is also thrilled to welcome Lori MacMillan, Registered Nurse and owner of MAEspa, into the clinic. Lori has been a registered nurse for 20 years working locally in labour and delivery and mental health, and since 2020 has also practiced as a medical aesthetician offering non-surgical procedures using premium injectables and top of the line technologies to enhance skin beauty.
When she’s not at the clinic, Keenan is at home with her husband, two sons ages five and seven, and her dog, Dove.
