If you’re looking to piece together an entire outfit from head to toe, you can likely do it here for under $100! Formerly the Glass Shoppe has been opened by twin sisters Joanie and Claire Chapple as a division of their business, The Yoga Chapple. Most people are very familiar with this dynamic duo for their yoga/wellness classes in town and also their creative contributions to Stratford’s annual Trashion Week.
This new charity shop is fashioned after the shops the sisters loved and volunteered at recently in Ireland. Fifty percent of sales of all donated clothing is going to The Local Community Centre.
FTGS offers a wonderful collection of pre-loved clothing that have been donated and a section of consignment pieces. You will find original upcycled collections by local fashion artists Susan Dunfield, Kylie Wasser, Kim of Mods & Rockers, and Claire Scott’s gender-neutral, streetwear brand. Claire too is part of team FTGS as is Lisa Stacey, Manager of Wellspring Stratford, contributing with social media, modelling and hours in the store. Joanie also designs her own line of jewelry – made from pre-loved and gathered material – under the banner Joaned.

Set up now for one year in the future home of Stageview, the space was literally formerly The Glass Shoppe on Downie St across from the bus depot. Not able to remove the word ‘formerly’ from the front door, the Chapples simply adopted it as their shop name!
Claire has a background in sales and marketing and Joanie is a Fashion and Graphic Design graduate from TMU (formerly Ryerson); together with their team they welcome you to drop in, relax on the comfy couch or have a lookabout. Inventory changes regularly!
