It’s been a few months now that Ruffins Pet Centre has moved from the mall to our downtown BIA and we are happy to introduce you to manager, Tracy Dickenson, who has been at the helm of the Stratford location for the past seven years. Owner, Mark Fitzgerald, who resides in Simcoe has a second shop there and a third one in Brantford. Tracy herself has been in the pet care business for 15 years, claiming it her “passion” to provide pet owners with advice on the health and nutrition of their furry family members. I witnessed first hand her care and compassion finding the right food for a worried owner whose dog recently was diagnosed with diabetes. He was in very good hands!
Ruffins stocks all types of nutritional food (even raw food) for dogs and cats. If it’s not on the shelves, Tracy is happy to order it for you.
Animals – and all the bits that go with them – that are sold on site include: fish, birds, reptiles, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, rats, bugs and worms. Rats are even available frozen if you have a hungry pet snake!
Providing healthy, well cared for pets is of paramount importance to Ruffins. For example, when Tracy is working in the back she brings the bright yellow parakeet out of its cage to splash around with its toys in the water of the bathroom sink!
You’ll be pleased to know that Ruffins offers a loyalty program: For every dollar spent, you receive 25 points. 30,000 points = a $10 gift card. No need to even keep track of a loyalty card – your phone number will do the trick for them to keep track of your points!
