Downtown Stratford is “Pet-Friendly”. Participating locations are now allowing pets inside or onto their premises (at the discretion of the business). Scroll down the page to see a list of our Pet-Friendly locations, and learn more about where our Poop Bag Stations are located.
INTRODUCING our SNIFFARI MAP: A map designed for dogs that offers them the most incredible enrichment experience while they wander through the downtown streets. THE NOSE KNOWS when it comes to our furry friends. Let them lead the way by nose as they stimulate, investigate, explore and inhale their best life. Follow our mascot “Ford” as he takes in Downtown and leaves his Sniffari Nose decals in the best spots to stop. MORE HERE!
Please use the provided Poop Bag Stations located in two downtown spots: behind City Hall by the washroom entrance, and on York Street.
Our poop bag refills have been generously donated by The Bakery and Pawsitive Difference Pet Service. If EMPTY please notify Heidi (Barkery) at 519-274-1792 or Christine (Pawsitive) at 519-274-4100.
*IMPORTANT NOTICE: Kindly be aware that there are specific requirements and restrictions that might prevent certain types of businesses from being classified as “pet-friendly”. These legal prerequisites are established uniformly across the province by the health unit.
*ADDITIONAL REMINDER: Each individual business holds the authority to determine whether or not they will choose to accommodate pets. It is not mandatory for any business to permit pets, and they retain the right to refuse service to customers accompanied by animals.
