With snow removal days ahead of us it might be time to get in shape to avoid pulled back muscles!
Welcome to brother and sister therapists, Alyssa and Chase Hyde, who have recently opened Move & Revitalize – a Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) clinic.
FST is an assisted stretching system that focuses on the fascia – the connective tissue that interconnects all muscles, bones, nerves, and organs in our body. As explained by the Hydes, this “assisted stretch technique gently and intentionally manipulates the body through dynamic movements to target the major fascial tissue. It helps to release both physical and emotional tension.” This type of therapy helps to achieve optimal flexibility, strength, balance, agility and pain relief.
Alyssa and Chase had always been close but the pandemic brought them even closer. Alyssa at University of Waterloo and Chase at Conestoga College decided together that they needed to improve their health. They hit the gym and never looked back!
Both now are personal trainers on top of their “day jobs.” Alyssa leads recreation therapy for adults who have experienced a stroke. She encourages them along their path to recovery using exercise, board games, and other activities to improve movement, fine motor skills and critical thinking. Chase works at the other end of the population in Early Childhood Education. Work takes them from Woodstock, to Kitchener, to St Mary’s and their hometown of Stratford. So it’s here – in the centre of all these locations – they decided to open their clinic following their training and certification at the Stretch to Win Institute in Burlington.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday with Saturdays coming up in the near future. Check out their great reviews when you book an appointment online!
