At 59 Albert Street, Stratford Blooms has become a trusted name for beautiful, thoughtful floral design. Since opening her doors in 2015, owner Amanda Speelman has blended creativity and a deep appreciation for life’s moments, all through flowers.
Amanda didn’t start her career in floristry. She initially studied nursing, but a connection
to the wholesale floral industry drew her in. After moving to Stratford from Toronto 17
years ago, she fell in love with the city’s charm, restaurants, and theatre scene.
Once her children were old enough, Amanda followed her creative instincts and opened Stratford Blooms, a space where design and emotion come together in every bouquet.
For Amanda, flowers are more than a business, they’re a philosophy. “Flowers are a
great metaphor for life,” she says. “You take your time, enjoy things while they last, and
know that they don’t last forever. That’s the beauty of them.”
Her designs reflect that mindset: intentional, and crafted to celebrate both the everyday
and the extraordinary. From weddings to sympathy, to just-because, Stratford Blooms
has built a reputation for capturing sentiment through their arrangements.
Amanda also credits the strong downtown business community for making her
entrepreneurship journey feel supported from day one. “Stratford has always shown up
for local businesses,” she says. That sense of community is something she doesn’t take
for granted.
Whether you’re picking up a bouquet for a special occasion or just because, Stratford
Blooms is where artistry meets heart, right in the heart of downtown.
